You may have noticed that once in a while I like to paint something a little more… realistic.. Yesterday afternoon I was looking after my God child Cillian and his big brother Pierce, and they live very close to the majestic Gap of Dunloe… The drive was very enjoyable as it was a crisp cold and sunny afternoon, and the views of the Gap and the McGillycuddy Reeks were stunning, so I thought I would paint something based on this great landscape… It’s done from memory so it isn’t perfectly exact but there is a series of small bridges to cross and the legend says you have to make a wish as you cross them… Love the Irish Folklore!

The last of the four seasons…! Winter reminds me of course of North America, and it reminds me of working at the “Carnaval de Québec”, where I use to work on the production of the floats for the big final parade… The amount of snow I had to sculpt and paint..!
