I love weeks like this.. the Wine & Art and the days leading up to it proved to be quite successful… 5 paintings sold…! And, of course, lots of leaflets and business cards handed out… You never know when you might be contacted…
Now. on to work on those commissions I have to complete before Christmas…
I am just back from a little trip to Dublin, we went to see “The Boss” last night…! Yep, Bruce Springsteen was singing away in the Fair City, with plenty of energy. Great show!
To kill two birds with one stone, I also brought with me some paintings for a lovely quaint gallery that I am trying out… Gallery Zozimus are only open a year and a half, but I must say they have a delightfull collection of beautiful artworks and some very quirky pieces of ceramic. Furhter more, THEY contacted me to exhibit there, which is always flattering. The pieces I brought are part of a group exhibition entitled “Inside the Box”, opening next Thursday July 16th. Unfortunately I cannot go back to Dublin to be at the opening, but will definitely try to attend the next show. Zozimus was a bard that lived in Dublin some time ago..
God I love red stickers…
My solo exhibition is now in Killarney, after spending a week in Valentia, and I can say proudly that 7 of them are already sold, and I also got a commission out of it. So far so good…!
Here is a link to the exhibition, I am in the process of putting it on my own website…
Dates have finally been confirmed for my solo exhibition in the new gallery on Valentia Island, open by the Killarney Art Gallery…Saturday June 6th is the opening date, and I should have approximately 20 new paintings to show…
The new gallery will open officially on the 16th of May with a group exhibition which I am also part of, and is located right at the waterfront in Knightstown, overlooking the newly built marina, and I would certainly advise anyone who havent’t been on the island yet to make the trip, it is absolutely breath taking. So why not kill 2 birds with one stone in early June…
There’s a first time for everything…! Since I had a few pieces gathered together, the Killarney Art Gallery has offered me a solo exhibition, my first “One Woman Show”…
Opening officially this week-end, the exhibition is already going well with 4 pieces sold through the email sent today by the gallery.
